Lucid Dream
I don't remember any of the surrounding events in this dream, only the small portion in which I was lucid.
I was walking around a residential area with Nate at night. It was kind of like Jake's neighborhood; very wide streets, nice houses. I was ahead of Nate on the street, and something tipped me off that I was dreaming. It may have been that I was drifting in and out of sleep (I was on a not very comfortable bed at the cabin) but I turned around and let dream Nate know that I knew I was dreaming. He wasn't very happy about this, he looked pretty displeased when I told him, and it unsettled me. I was afraid that I wouldn't have full control over what was going on, mostly because Nate had this kind of crazy look in his eyes. He picked up one of those newspaper dispensers from the sidewalk and threw it at me. While he was doing this, I told him to, kind of to assure myself I was in control even though I knew I hadn't planned this event. I continued to act as if I had, and I punched the large metal object out of midair, which sounded like a pretty fun, lucid thing to do. But I was still pretty worried in the back of my mind, and I didn't destroy the thing like I planned. I dented it pretty well, much more than I would ever be able to in real life, but it kind of hurt my hand.
I could feel that the dream was fading at this point, and I stepped back from Nate a little ways, and I started levitating into the air. I was able to do this successfully, but I didn't have full control over it, and I was still pretty worried about falling and stuff since I didn't have much control.
I guess I probably wasn't fully lucid. I knew I was dreaming, but I wasn't thinking completely clearly. The fact that I almost completely forgot this all happened contests to that probably being true. But it was an interesting experience nonetheless, and the closest call with lucidity that I have had, to my recollection.
